Steven Leffue

By combining musicianship, engineering, and cutting edge technology, Steven Leffue creates visceral, interactive sonic designs and immersive audio systems for live performance.  His work includes work for theater, music, fixed media, interactive apps, and system design. Using acoustic, electronic, and digital media to weave a unique blend of influences, he has presented work across the United States, in Europe and in Asia. 

In addition to composing and designing, he is a member of experimental Brooklyn-based Hoi Polloi Theater Company (hoipolloiworld.com), serves as the Americas Regional Director on the Board of the International Computer Music Association (computermusic.org), and is co-founder of the OBIE award winning interdisciplinary arts venue, JACK, in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn (jackny.org). 


Steven has presented his work at prominent venues and festivals worldwide, including the International Computer Music Conference (Utrecht, Seoul), Vienna Festwöche, the NYC Under the Radar Festival, La Jolla Playhouse's Without Walls Festival, and the Brooklyn International Performance Art Festival. His sound installations and performances have been showcased in diverse settings, from gallery exhibitions to immersive theater productions, captivating audiences with their innovative use of technology and artistic vision.
